If you read my intro blog you now know that I am from Hawaii. Japanese culture has a very strong presence and there are many Japanese speaking people, both living there and tourist who come to visit. Japanese was one of the two languages offered at my high school, so I took it and was amazed by how interesting the culture was. I am very excited to be able to take Japanese in college and I look forward to learning more and becoming better at speaking it. I look forward to the rest of the semester. :)

ReplyDeleteSome of the ways Japanese culture has influenced me(mainly in Hawaii) are: at home we always take off our shoes, rice is a staple in the diet, there are also a lot of Japanese festivals that happen in the year which are always fun to go to.
